THE SEVEN

The Line of Site Final was an occasion which had an exciting backdrop of 75 participating countries, 330 entries, 5 top practitioner Judges and a view of the Thames, St Pauls and a snow bound London.

The 7 finalists represented a breadth of countries and cultures – India, Israel, Bulgaria, England, Canada, Scotland and USA. Judges and contestants had arrived by Plane, train, car and foot – City Transportation Interchanges did not play a part as the snow had paralysed London, however it did not deter a single contestant and one of the Judges had walked 4 miles to be there while another had sat on a Tube train buried in snow for 3 hours – the commitment to the Line of Site competition has been extraordinary.

Æsthe/tech:Tonik
Æsthe/tech:Tonik is structured around the belief that as designers become more adept (and less impressed) with tools and techniques' capacity to simply create something new, we actually use them to create something better. While the notion may be broad in scope, the ever evolving entires aim to focus specifically on the implications and influence aesthetics have within the architectural medium, given our current canonic situation.
