Rules - Line of Site Competition

1 To enter the competition, you must have successfully completed the competition registration form. This only needs to be completed once, even if submitting an entry for more than one brief.
2 There is no restriction to the number of entries a competitor can submit for each brief, however each entry must have a unique email address.
3 Registrations will only be confirmed with the inclusion of a valid, operating email address for the applicant.
4 The competition is free to enter and open to anyone aged 18 years and over as of 26 May 2006.
5 Relevant entries must be submitted (and have been received) within the time schedule for each brief.
6 All entries must be original work created by the registered competitor.
7 To be judged, all submitted entries must be accompanied by registered competitors name and contact details.
8 All competition entries, be they hand drawn sketches or digital images, will only be accepted if submitted in the specified formats (see 'Enter Your Sketch' below).
9 All winners will be notified by email.
10 The judges' decision, in regard to all elements of the competition, is final.


Enter your Sketch - Line of Site Competition


You can submit your sketch as a freehand drawing or as a digital image. You can use any media you like to create your sketch we just ask to ensure you end up with a 2D image of A5 (210 x 148mm landscape) size, unless you choose to create in SketchUp or Google Earth - See full details below

Within each full brief PDF document you'll find an sketch sheet which contains an A5 sketch area. If you want to enter a freehand drawing, simply complete the sheet (sketch and details) and send it to us by the brief closing date to this address:

Call your finished sketch file one of following: Everest, Embassy or Thames. Then attached it to your submission email, ensuring all your details are typed on the email also:
• Brief you are entering
• Full Name
• Company Name
• Email Address (you registered with)

Please Note: If you have not registered we will not be able to find you on the database, therefore your submission cannot be judged.

Submission files can be in any of the following formats:

• Submit a .jpg File
Digital output sketches and accompanying details can be sent to us as a high resolution (300dpi) High Quality jpeg file (You should end up with an A5 Jpeg file between 1 and 2MB).

• Submit a .skp file (If using SketchUp software to create your sketch) *
If you choose to use SketchUp to produce your sketch then simply save it as a standard.skp file and email to us with your accompanying details.

• Submit a .kmz file (If saving a SketchUp model in Google Earth) *
If you choose to place your SketchUp model into Google Earth then save out your as a .kmz file and email to us with your accompanying details

* Please note: If we publish your entry on the website or by some other media we will display what we feel is the best angle of your model, and create a 2D file from it.
